Welcome to Kristy Alley's classroom blog. I teach junior English at Central High School in Memphis, Tennessee.

I plan to use this blog as a tool for my students and their parents, and as a way to include the local and wider educational communities in some of the things that go on in my classroom. I will post my reflections on some of our activities as well as examples of lesson plans and possibly student work throughout the year.

To the right you will find links to some of my favorite educational websites. Some of these will be of particular interest to my students because of the help they offer with current reading assignments. Others will be of more interest to my fellow educators and parents.
I am excited about the coming school year and I hope this blog will help me spread that enthusiasm to all of you. Central is a great school, and we're going to have a great year.
